Independent By Country But Being Sarcastic With Religious Propaganda

New Delhi, October 5, 2017:

There exists a significant difference of opinion in the perspective of an individual, in context to religious beliefs. Religion never sets you apart when humanity is what you believe in. This world is nothing but a spherical ball with people having different stereotypical perspectives. Religion is a framed concept originated long back with no basic customs and rules. The passage of time added all the ethics to it, binding people to their typical beliefs.

India is a nation of sanctimonious belief and the only thing that one boosts here is religiosity. Since time immemorial, communities have been claiming their religious sanctity creating turmoil and disturbance among them. The religions, which are known for their numerous acts of violence and conflicts in India, are Hindu and Muslim. The turmoil between the two have been for many years but with the passage of time, the barbaric act of killing people have mounted the pressure between the two communities.

The recent incident that spread outrage among the people of India was of a teenage Muslim boy who was killed before Eid in a train by some Hindu men after they mocked him over eating beef which is considered sacrilegious by Hindus. The small argument over a seat ignited religious sentiments and the boy was stabbed to death over differences in religious beliefs. The incident provoked nationwide protest to condemn the violence and the failure of the government towards maintaining peace among the communities. Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also broke his silence on the attacks on Muslims over beef eating, saying "Killing people in the name of 'gau bhakti' is not acceptable.” It was not enough soon after Modi gave his statement that a mob of around 100 people killed a Muslim trader after suspecting him of carrying beef in his van.

The relation between Hindus and Muslims have been bitter and violent, be it Babri Masjid issue, beef eating, Assam violencePatan riots and many more. The secular regime established in 1947 was of a country, not just one community but the enmity between Hindus and Muslims have plagued the sanctity of an independent India.

Incredible India, the name given to a holy motherland is prominent for its culture, language, and religion. It is a country with many states but a single belief. No matter who you are, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Christian or a Sikh, the unity of people make India a country of many beliefs. However, one should never forget that religion is about the community we live in, it should not be confused with the authoritarian rights of any single community.
